"While there is life, there is hope for amendment."
Alan Paton, Cry, the Beloved Country

Cynthia Edwards is a Christian communicator; the originator of this Creative Spirit web site and author of a column entitled Musings

An American citizen by birth, Cynthia grew up in a family that was frequently posted to other countries. Having interacted with people of widely divergent social strata in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America, she drew conclusions at an early age about the universality of the human condition and the potential for all people to know the living God, and to think and act in the spirit of Love and Truth.

After graduating from college Cynthia began her career as a copywriter for J. Walter Thompson in Cape Town, South Africa. She built up her portfolio and numerous creative awards at advertising agencies in London and Houston. In 1983 she left the ad business and expanded her horizons through other professions, including retail management, conference facilitation, executive speechwriting, and marketing and corporate communications.

Today Cynthia still writes for a living. She is available to speak at Christian gatherings and women's groups. Popular topics include "The True Meaning of Work,"  "Making Money Between Jobs," and "From Making a Living to Making a Life."

Cynthia is widowed, and is the proud mother of an adult son. She lives with a dog and a cat in Plano, Texas.
